Bought Mofusand merch and LaDS fanart
Posted on 26-03-2026
Last couple of weeks were so busy. I got to relax with a friend in a different city and she showed me there was a store selling Mofusand stuff. Ofcourse i had to buy some! I bought 2 keychains, basically the same, of Mofusand ice cream cats. I just couldn't choose and they were affordable thankfully. No idea where to put them, i do not have lots of hanging options in my study at this moment, put one on my bag for now. The store also had lots of Sanrio stuff, i'm not collecting those but i love looking at them because it reminds me of our Japan travels and i miss Japan so much.
I also got to visit an Asia convention, targeted towards cosplayers, artists for anime and gaming fanart. The food court was a lot smaller and there were way more cosplayers than we expected, but the section with all the stores was enough for us to walk around for a couple of hours. If i were alone i would have spend way more time at every stall just checking all the artists styles of their fanart. I did grab a lot of business cards of artists who's style i liked and want to check out at a later time. And i got to buy my first LaDS fanart: one photocard of Caleb, a postcard of the mascots of the boys and i got some free stickers with those. I'm thinking of maybe making a fan page here for LaDS, or specifically all the lore in the game, it would be quite a lot to maintain but for my own references of all the characters, how things intertwine. Not sure yet, would be nice to make an Obsidian style linking through all the pages and add pictures on those.
Finding my theme for this year
Posted on 08-03-2026
Today i saw a post from someone about healing through allowing yourself to rest, buy things that you liked as a child and still like, and giving yourself a space to recharge. It really resonated with me. As a young parent it's sometimes hard to not lose yourself in parenthood, to have time and energy for hobbies and just being you.
Luckily i have my own study in the house where i collect my fantasy books, mofusand figures, beautiful postcards and where i can be my weird unapologetic self. I am taking pianolessons for a couple of years now, but lately am struggling to practice for it. I'd like to find this time and energy again.
This will be my main theme for this year day-to-day life: my happy corner, collecting what sparks joy and how to prioritize selfcare, rest and enjoyment. I think this site will be a reflection of that, finding joy in creative coding, doing just what i like and also expressing my interests here without the fear of judgement or the pressure of social media's "everything needs to be perfect". No, this site is currently quite empty, not at all esthetically pleasing yet, but it's mine.
Migraine recovery and prepping for the weekend
Posted on 06-03-2026
I've been having migraines for some years now, a couple of times per year. Recently though they are more frequent, one of two times per month and often at the end of busy workdays. Yesterday just happened to be such a day. Busy workday, delays in public transport and getting more sick the closer I get to home. Today i still feel the aftermath of the medicine and I'm alone at home with my son. Thankfully he is very happy today and gets really into playing indoors with duplo and in the garden with the sandbox. When I'm standing up to do anything he quickly ushers me to sit and continue reading my fantasy book. He's too young to understand i was sick yesterday but somehow feels i need some rest. He's sad for some little occurences but he's 2, so that's normal behavior haha. I'm thankful I feel healthy enough today to enjoy the beautiful spring weather together and to play with him a lot. My husband will be on a business trip this weekend, so i'll be alone with our son for the next 2 days too. But tomorrow we'll go to my parents to celebrate my fathers birthday. Sunday my best friend and her hudband will visit with their son of the same age as our son. There is a toddler theater show we will go to and afterwards we're going to eat pancakes with the kids. The weekend will be busy and except for the two events i'll have to manage alone. However i'll be looking forward to an entire evening alone tomorrow to work on my website and see if i can get automatic blog sections working.
